It is because of the load that EVCP will put onto the home system. The EVCP (Electric vehicle Charging Point) is around 7 kW (kilowatts) which puts 32 amp load onto your electric system constantly while the vehicle is charging, it is a lot of power. If your house has 60 amp or lower then there will be risk when lots of other things are using electricity in the house. It could end up blowing the main cutout fuse and losing power to the whole house.
